Delete your account

This page describes how to delete your account and associated data for Odobook — Car Maintenance Log (Google Play package app.odobook), published by Michal Kalous / AsioSoft.

If you can sign in, this is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately:

Open Odobook → Settings → Account → Danger zone → Delete Account → confirm.

This deletes your Odobook user record and your sign-in credentials immediately. There is no waiting period and no way to recover the account afterwards.

If you cannot sign in — lost password, lost device, deleted app — email hello@odobook.app from the address you registered with, with the subject “Delete my account”. We verify that the request comes from the registered address and complete the deletion within 30 days.

• Deleted: your user record (email address, display name, account identifier) and your Pro entitlement record, plus the authentication account itself.
• Kept: purchase and invoice records, where tax and accounting law requires us to retain them. These are not linked to any maintenance data.
• Not applicable: your vehicles, service records, fuel entries, reminders, odometer readings and photos. Those never leave your device, so we have nothing to delete — see below.

Odobook is local-first: your garage is stored on the device only. Deleting your account does not touch it, and it disappears when you uninstall the app. To erase it while keeping the app, open Settings → Data → Danger zone → Wipe all local data. Export a CSV or JSON backup first if you want to keep a copy — both exports are free.
